Nneka S. Achapu, Executive Director & CEO


Ms. Nneka Stefania Achapu is savvy businesswoman, speaker & serial entrepreneur. She is also the founder of the U.S. Bilateral African Chamber of Commerce. Prior to founding her own chamber of commerce, she was the director of international programming for the Minority Chamber of Commerce in Houston, Texas.

Ms. Achapu is a native of Nigeria, however she spent her childhood in Italy and the United States, in Houston, where she attended the University of Houston, earning a degree in Spanish, Italian & Political Science.

Ms. Achapu has been active in various communities for the last 10 years, representing the African Community in a variety of leadership position. She speaks Italian, Spansh and Arabic.

“I decided to create an opportunity for people who were interested in Africa and didnt know where to start” she says.

Ms. Achapu is also an Advisory Board Member of the Houston International Trade and Development Council, a member of the Greater Houston Partnership: Emerging Africa Committee and the Discovery Green Cultural Committee.
